All I can say it that I painted my Bowties and the paint on them is holdding up better than the paint on the rest of the car.
Rear fenders and hood are getting painted soon for free.

 

Personally, I'd look up in your local yellowpages and see if anyone does powdercoating, especially on the polished rims. Would last a bit better than just paint and easier to take care of in most cases.

 

Probably right. I doubt I'm gonna go that route however. More or less just wondering out loud. I really want to find something like the one I posted that won't cost me my first born child.

I'll let 'em keep the Bently if they give me an armed guard for each wheel. I'd like to see a set of those roll up on Chicago's south side. Just like the movie: Gone In 30 Seconds.

 

I think Master P is about the only person who owns a set.

 

Seeing as how diamonds are the hardest known substance to man, at least you wouldn't have to worry about scratching them up on the curbs.

 

I would opt for powdercoating but first the tires have to be dismounted and then remounted after and I am only painting mine as a hold over until I get my rims and tires. Low Tone just do good prep work proper cleaning, sanding, priming and painting in light coats, a bit of clear and you will find that they hold up fine in all but winter driving. I am doing mine this weekend.
