Well, the compressor setup would be optimal - but there's the question of where to mount the bags. We are working on a full airbag kit for the HHR right now - but the bags go where the springs currently are.

I haven't looked at things with your idea in mind. If you can locate the helper bags in an area where they won't rub, I'd say go for it. It's going to be way cheaper than a full bag job - and less hassle than filling/draining air shocks.

Hope it helps,

but

the bag set up is alot more expensive unless you already have the compressor the tank the lines the fittings we all know we have the space but the price i was looking into that route to and i was told around 350 just for parts and install is ex unless u do it yourself but think about dropping the rear while you drive and lifting that would be hot i still might do it i already have a compressor and all my buddies have there rides bagged i just dont know, and then mikes idea sounds good tooo

i had the ones that go in the spring in mind.

ive had a fully bagged s10 before and was considering that too, how much will this kit cost and what all will be included in it? nothing like fast 3/4" lines and valves

Not gonna work on the HHR.

Get under the car when it's on the ground...those springs are too compressed to fit a bag in...WAY too compressed:

Unless you ditch the springs altogether and go bags, I'm thinkin' the air shocks are a better way for you. You can also get on-board compressor systems for air shock too!

your full bag kit, will the spring cups have to be modified or will they be an exact fit? I had to cut that s10 to pieces, i dont wanna cut up a brand new car

When we get the bag kit finished it will be fully plug-n-play. Bags, controller, lines, etc. The bags will have brackets to bolt right in - no cutting! I want to do it right.

It won't be available next week though...
