Cardinal Red

Yeah that is Cardinal Red. Has a lot of gold metal flake in it. Mt body shop friend was suprised how much metal flake when he painted the running boards. That is the best deal I will ever get on a new car. Guess C for C and Obama did something positive for me at least.

R.B's

I love my 'boards. They finish the look of this vehicle so well. And they also keep a lot of mud, rocks & water spray off the side of the car. I still gotta get mine painted but it's a good add-on.

It's an 09. I have this color purely by fate. When going to buy the car, the dealer had about 20 of them on his lot. Since this was a C for C deal, price was the most important thing. I told him I wanted the ceapest HHR he had, with an automatic transmission that wasn't black. The Cardinal Red one had been on his lot for almost a year and missed two price increases, so it was cheaper than others identically equipped.
I don't have anything against black cars as long as they belong to someone else. I just don't want to try to keep them clean, even though the dark Cardinal Red is almost as bad.

Black SS flares are part of the reason I swapped to running boards.
The dust/dirt got wiped off the SS flares every time I got in/out.
It looked like steaming crap and I like the RB look better.
No regrets - new black RBs w/brackets for $107 shipped

Love it!

Cool, That worked out great then.. Yep, I wanted automatic also, been shifting gears too long..
I liked the Cardinal Red as soon as I saw one w/it. But it wasn't a Panel.
So my search continued..

I finally found my White Panel 2LT, which has more options than I was even looking for, so I'm adjusting to all the extra creature comforts. I've had several White rides in the past & I like White as well..

I had a 1998 S-10 I bought new & worked into my deal. Big Diff in fancy goodies...But the ol S-10 was a trusty & faithful ride..

Best Luck with your New baby...

He doesn't have any RBs on ebay now but might have some on the shelf.

Great Price

I tried several times to get some cheaper boards off e-bay, but the price kept getting run up. I finally just bought a set for $415 with $25 shipping and got it over with. They do really cut down on what gets kicked up the side of the car
In my pictures, you can see my Goldmist Avalanche, and can't see my wife's Goldmist Cadillac CTS. Goldmist would have been my preferred color. It absolutely doesn't show dust and dirt.

But black is beautiful baby!

I like black so much more than any other car/truck/snowthrower/bicycle color that it's worth the extra effort
