alright, i gave it another shot, with a few step by step pics

started with a flat black base coat of plasti-dip


then sprayed a layer of Plasti-Dip Pearlizer


i blasted some metal shavings into the wet Pearlizer, and sprayed it down with rust activator

I love the old look.. could totally do a steampunk effect with them... oh the ideas
