Rusty Hood Trend

Does anyone know what this looks like on an HHR I was thinking about buying a hood to try it on and then rust match the grill. Im not sure about it but Ive seen alot of cool cars with it done. Feel free to share your opinions about my question or just what you think about the idea of it. Heres a link of some pics http://blog.cardomain.com/2009/01/30/rusty-hood-trend/

I would say you have to do the fenders too to complete the look. I saw them do it on Trucks! on tv. Try their website. http://www.powerblocktv.com/site3/in...22&ep_sea=0902

I think it looks good on a clean HHR first when I check the pictures it looks ok but when you see a cool clean shine car than looks good with a rusty hood (incl.fenders )

Why would it be a trend to make your car look like there was an engine fire..... years ago, and you don't care enough to fix the damage? I guess I'm just too old.......

I'm with you Greybeard999
I actually like all kinds of styles of modded cars/trucks/bikes but I don't get this at all.
I didn't see a single car at that first link page that looks better with a rusty hood.

I even had a green '68 Chevelle with a surface rust sunburn on the hood, roof and trunk.
It looked like a Cheech N Chong mobile but authentic.
These just look silly.

Just say no.

not a fan and I just don't get it. Most/all of those cars in the link look horrible to me. It looks like you were in an accident and had to replace the hood with the cheapest thing you could find.

If you can't fix it, feature it!
