Side window visors
Boy am I pissed. This whole conversation brought this back to my mind. I paid for the factory installed mud guards and rain guards. I have always done these myself (not a smoker but always keep the windows open a crack for ventiltion when driving and parked on hot days, and when driving to hear outside sirens, traffic, etc). In all of the excitement of getting the car, I didnt really pay attention or notice the cost. But, I did notice that they were the stick on type, which I hate. I figured that they were the only ones available, and the best to use since the dealer was installing them.
So, now I find that the better ones are made for the car. Plus, I just checked my invoice to see if I paid more than $60 bucks. Well, they priced both the mud and rain guards together. The combined price was $314.90. I would love a breakdown. I guess there was a lot of it towards installation. What was I thinking???
Actually, in studying the ones that go under the molding, they are smaller and do not cover the entire rear window (the narrow glass is left uncovered). And the main thing l like about them, aside from the function, is that they make the windows look more narrow [chopped top look]. I have considered, briefly, adding a pair to the non-opening back window just to continue the look.

Thanks to all of you for your help. Especially HHR Nut for the pics. I am not a smoker. I just like to have the window open for air when it rains. You would be surprised at how much air comes thru, even though the window is only open a little. Thanks again. SoCal thanks for the link.
Lee don't be too upset. You bring up a good point about the narrow part of the rear windows not being covered. I had not realized that. I have to give it some thought. I'll ask a higher authority; my wife!

YBM = You get what you pay for IMO.
I went with AVS made by Lund, only used the fronts, cause I have a Panel.
Have the rears for sale in the classifieds here, $15. or OBO
They have Lifetime warranty on breakage & Limited on scratching.
On Ebay if you type in a search for HHR vent visors, I have seen chrome-looking plastic ones.
I don't think you will find visors for the back windows that don't open.. But I could be wrong..
Happy Hunting !!!

Ive seen some one buy two sets of the stick on ones that cover the entire rear window and used the second set for the third set of windows. looked pretty good but not sure if thats what you want to do. If I could find a full set cheap I would get them and paint them the same color as the car, I think that looks way cool.
