Contact Sylvania about it. They may spot you one since it burned out so fast.

The rumoured quick burning out was one reason why I am holding off on putting SilverStars in....the other being the cost.

I just shredded the receipt a day ago too...damn..that was a sign I guess

I picked up a twin pack at Advance Auto for 27.99 on sale so that wasn't too bad...replaced a bit easier than I thought but still a pita...don't think Sylvania would give me the time of day without a receipt

Someone had asked about PIAA and Hella before. Both make wonderful products. And both are usually brighter than a standard bulb.

I just wanted to say that I used this guide a few weeks ago when I put my Silver Stars in, and it was a huge help. I am about to upgrade to HID's and will most certainly be looking at it again.

Here is a website for reference. http://www.superbrightleds.com/
You know what I think this site may have an answer as to why Silverstars are burning out quickly.

Some GM vehicles apply a pulsed voltage to the Daytime Running Lights (DRL), this pulsed voltage causes LED bulbs to fail quickly, just as the stock filament bulbs also fail quickly in these DRL installations. Use in these applications voids the warranty.
Admittadly I haven't really looked at the lights and whats used for what, but the low/high beam is all one bulb and being used for DRL right?

google searches turn up a bunch of hits about short lifespan of silverstars with GM DRL
http://www.google.com/search?q=silve...G=Search&hl=en

Too lazy to read much of it right now but I would hesitate to buy Silverstars

If you have an 2006 HHR like applenut has, the DRL are actually parking lights

i've had to replace 2 sets of bulbs in the last 4-5 months.

i first had Luminic pure blue bulbs($60). one blew and the company doesn't warrenty just one bulb. both have to blow to get a new set.
so i tossed those and ordered a set of Nokia arctic white bulbs(also $60). one crapped out on me last night.
now i have to buy another set of bulbs.
im wanting a crisp blue tint to the lights. i hate stock yellowish lights. might have to pick up a set of Silverstars tomorrow.
