Solstice, Sky, Malibu wheels

I've seen several threads asking if Solstice or Sky wheels will fit on an HHR but I haven't seen anyone who's actually tried installing a set. Does anyone know for sure if that will fit? What about the new Malibu wheels? I have seen a couple of pics on the board of HHR's with Cobalt SS wheels which look real nice. Thanks in advance....Jim

Here is a thread from yesterday asking about Malibu wheels.

https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/appearance-modifications-discussions-6/malibu-wheels-will-these-fit-our-hhrs-16962/

I haven't actually tried any of the other wheels but as long as the bolt pattern is correct and the offset is close enough there should be no problem. I have an 18x8.5 wheel with a larger offset than the stock HHR wheels and mine fit with no problems even though I am lowered. I don't think any stock GM is going to have something far enough out of spec that it wouldn't work. Sorry I don't have firsthand knowledge though.

nice buy why not pop out the Pontiac Emblem (center cap) and place the Chevy in it's place?

It's not mine. I think they look better than the gold bowties though.

Factory Solstice wheels have a 55mm offset. That is why the spacers have to be used. You need something near 40mm to fit without spacers.

What kind and size of spacers does it require? Thanks.

40mm to 55 mm is a little over half inch difference.

40mm = 1.57 inch

55mm = 2.16 inch

So these will fit, you just need to buy spacers for all four wheels correct?
