Same here....and I won't have mine until early next year. The best thing about not having one until then is that hopefully BRC will have the BOV, IC Piping, and DP ready by then. That way I can spend money that much faster.

Yeah, I do. She is clueless when it comes to this stuff though. Therefore, I will show her the Downpipe and tell her it is nothing more than a peice of aluminum piping. It was only $75, honey. Same for the IC piping. My brother does the same thing. To this day, his wife thinks the $1200 custom headers for his 96 Impala SS were $250.

I think I can get away with telling her the BOV was $50.

Seriously though, she is cool with this stuff. She knows I love it and as long as I am not taking the money away from important things like Scented candles and Bath and Bodyworks scented soap and lotion, it is all good. That is why we each have our own personal savings accounts in addition to the joint one. Those accounts can be used for anything without the prior approval (and subsequent hours of arguing) of the other.

No, at least not the rears.

I didn't take off the fronts........I did take off the rears.......It takes alot of trimming to make these fit on the SS........the fascias are different and you have to cut and fit and refit until you are happy with the fit

Same thing in my marriage. If my wife ever did complain, I could just say: "Yes I'm spending this on the car, but I could be out stuffing this money in a stripper's g-string instead. Which would you prefer?"

What did you do to best know where to cut the flaps too. Did you make a template?

Also what did you use to trim them?

I have a set and need to trim them yet and thought I would ask before I cut.

I was thinking of making a patter and over laying it then use a Exato Knife.

I did a search at gmpartsdirect for these splash guards but the search came up with nothing.
I am interested in the molded splash guards for my new HHR. Does anyone have the GM part number for these guards?

Thanks,

I found the part number for these splash guards, it is #12499528. Gmpartsdirect.com have them listed for $64.97. This is the lowest price that I have been able to find on the web. Anyone find a lower price?
