SS Bumper and Paint Price Questions

I love my Shadow Edition. I was thinking to make it a one of a kind Shadow and add the SS bumpers. I found a front bumper for around $180. Does that seem right? You guys who have gotten paint work done, how much does it cost to get a bumper painted?

The problem with going to the SS bumper is you need the grills to go with it. The grill on the SS are longer and if you still have the base grill you will have a gap at the bottom to where it meets up with the bumper. From other posts I think I read 2-3k for paint and full front end SS conversion.

Also for the $130 you want to make sure it includes all of the black pieces, the bottom lip, and the fog lights.

I just did mine last week. The cost of your bumper seems pretty cheap at $180. For me, the paint was $200 for the bumper and another $50 for the grille. Sunflowerhippi & sleeper are right, it's much more than just a bumper fascia replacement. Not a cheap mod for sure...

I had this idea a while ago. For all necessary hardware, paint, fog lights and wiring, plus GM certified install.. somewhere about $2,300+

I was hit from the rear and had to get a new bumper, so i found an ss rear bumper and it fit great. all you need is the reflectors and i bigger exhaust but other than that it fits right on.

The back bumper is fine, but what sunflowerhippi and sleeper were saying was if you want to do the front bumper you have to have the SS grill otherwise there will be a big gap between the bottom edge of the grill and the top of the bumper.

The SS bumpers are sweet, I'd do the swap if my HHR was strictly a personal auto. However, Ive driven over 100,000 miles the last 14 months.

They look great on both of those rides above!

Check the dates ,pooljumkie, this thread died 6 years ago so prices will be higher now!

There was a kit GM offered included the bits and pieces for an SS front bumper and grille conversion it was about $900.00 5 or 6 uyears ago but I haven't seen one availed for quite awhile!
