Surf Wagon's New Painted Bowties

Not a big fan of the gold bowties from the very beginning so decided to go ahead a paint the bowties a body matching Summit White this last week.

Started taping off the bowties...
but after a bit of concern of possible overspray...

I decided to wrap the ENTIRE Surf Wagon in plastic...

After numerous light sandings and light smooth coats of paint and clearcoats...

I'm extremely pleased with the results!

Here are a couple shots...

Multiple scuffs of very fine grade sandpaper from the start, and continued very light sandpaper scuffs between each coat of paint and clearcoat...

Deep looking final glossy results...

Super job BK! Chevrolet should have body colored bowties long ago. If I was better at that stuff, I'd surely do mine too!
