Time to come off.
Before trying anything else to remove the glue try plain old WD40.....
It cannot hurt your paint and will soften the glue. spray it down good let it sit for a couple of minutes, respray, wait a couple of more minutes and it should wipe right off with just a little rubbing.
If that doesn't work try Goof off, I would save the paint/lacquer thinner till last.....It is possible to damage your paint with those especially if the area in question has been repainted.

Goo Gone is pretty much kerosene and won't hurt paint. Mineral spirit paint thinner would work too. The Lacquer thinner sounds scary but I have used it on this GM paint, real quick and no rubbing and it did no harm.... I would be a little reluctant to go nutz with it though even though Moon says it's okay (sorry Moon, not that I don't trust you and all......)
I have removed vinyl lettering from several cars over the years. Unless the sticker has been on for several years all you need is a warm day. Let it sit in the sun for a while then start at the edge and pull it up and then back over itself slowly. Really old stickers will break apart but fresh ones will come off clean if you take your time
Using anything like goo gone ect, on it will just destroy the vinyl and leave the glue on the paint which is much harder to get off now that the vinyl is gone. The glue should come off with the vinyl when you peel it off leaving a nice clean area that has been protected from the elements.
