Vent Visors - in-channel or conventional?

I am going to need to install vent visors and am curious what the general consensus is on these. The last time I installed any, they were only externally mounted with the 3m tape.

Now these "in-channel" things are here and I am wondering who likes which ones and why. I am sure quite a few here have them.

Thanks in advance!

I've had all three styles , I like the WeatherTech in channel , model.
They fit better then the other brand in channels, like Lund/ AVS Vent visors, are very easy to install .
The exterior 3M taped on style are a bit of a disappointing lump stuck on and they look like an afterthought!

I always go in channel. The only problem is that dirt collects on them and does scratch your upper side glass when rolling the windows up and down.

I cured that by being carefully to only put the window up to the plastic less a 1/4 inch, then I get fresh air .
I've rolled the windows up all the way , but no scratches yet, then I do keep it clean so there is no grit to gouge the glass.
I use a paint stir stick and a rag to clean the in channel part of the rain guards.

In channel...

I don't know what brand, got them used from a forum member a long time ago. I only have them in the back windows for ventilation and to stop the "drumming" at speed when the front windows are down. Never noticed any glass scratching.

Being used I had to re-apply sticky tape using that 3M stuff.
