VHT NightShades

I know plenty of you guys have used this to tint your tails, reflectors, side markers and so on. But I've noticed that you all use a clear coat after. Has anyone done this without the clear coat? If so, how did they turn out? I ordered a can of the NightShades and got it in today, but the clear coat didn't come with it. I wanna go ahead and tint the rest of my lights tomorrow so I don't really wanna wait for the clear to come in... Any suggestions for a replacement clear coat I could pick up from a local parts store or somethin?

Rust-oleum gloss clear worked great and has held up to many washes and waxes.
lots of dust on some of pics. there super shiny and clean! Got the clear at home depot. 4 coats of niteshades , 3 or 4 coats of clear to taste.
Me likey !

The VHT spray by its self looked real good but I went ahead and put 3-4 coats of dupli-color clear coating and it actually made the finished product look really dull for me. I had planned on re-doing them when I had the chance but I found a good deal on LED lights and I gotta say I have fallen in love with them. I still love the lightning bolt!!!

On a side note: It is funny that since I tinted my lights awhile back I have seen two vehicles around here that have done the same now... I explained what I was doing with the product when I purchased on the autoparts store...Guess word of mouth has spread? OMG I may have just introduced the tinting plague in my little town

The bolts were put on the lens before vht. Then carefuly removed while vht was still damp, then after drying , clear coated 3 or 4 times.
The hardest part was placing the bolts on the lens equaly. WAPITA ! but the finnished product is sweet
