Yeah, I have a bottle of ICE, and it works great! Just really hard to see it...that's my only concern. I used to use it occasionally on the truck, but once I bought my Lumina I never used it again since the car was white.

Oh, I just tried that Back to Black stuff, works excellent!!!!

The oil in Peanut Butter help remove it,
I prefer to use Meguiars #39 to clean it
Back to Black will take a few applications to actually remove it, it covers most of it up, use a terry cloth to help get in the pores of the plastic

Toothpaste

I had this same problem of removing the white wax residue on the black plastic parts. While I was careful not to get much wax on the plastic, its difficult in some areas. Each black plastic part has different textures and the most difficult to remove were the rear bumper cover, running boards and front bumper fascia. I tried all the remedies I found on the internet such as alcohol, vigorous rubbing, etc., which helped but not all of it was removed. I found something that works very well which is toothpaste and an old, soft toothbrush. Toothpaste is a mild abrasive and with just a little water and brushing, all the white was gone from the texture on all the plastic. Just rinse well afterwards.

Plus, it leaves your HHR minty fresh!

WD-40 and a brush works great. I have 02 chevy truck with black plastic around the wheel I tried the tape but it takes a lot of time. Guy at the body shop told me about the WD-40 and a brush.
