What do you think of this

OK I am planning on getting ghost flames in the future but in the mean time I found something else and was wondernig if anyone has ever used it. Its called true shadow vinyl film. People that sell vinyl ghost flames use this. Its just a film that you can lay on your vehicle and it makes the area that it is covering a shade or 2 darker then the original. I figured it would be a good starter and plus I could see how I like the ghost flames. Has anyone ever used this before and what was your experience. The price of it dont seem to bad. I would want to try to do the whole front though and with cutting and trying to fit it to the bends may turn out to be a pain. I have laid vinyl across a vehicle before but it took a lot of paintence to lay it out right without getting bubbles so I think I can do it.

Yeah I know its cheap but this way it would give me a look at what the ghost flames would look like on my color HHR.

Well, its cheap, so that's nice... but it WILL take a LOT of patience and work. Might want to go ahead and order extra too... to account for mistakes. Interested in seeing how it works for you though.

The vinyl tend to not look very good, that's what I meant by the above... I'd try a dark ghost look more like a shadow look with your color HHR.

"(... 5-7 years outdoor life)" ouch!
However, it's an inexpensive way to see what flames (or what ever design your going with) will look like before being put to a more perminate paint option.

5 to 7 years film is very good film. The highest rated film is 7. Contary to what most people think 7 years exceeds paint graphic life. I'm not talking about actual paint jobs.

Avery makes good stuff. That is just the cost of the film not included is the cutting or the installation. will this company sell to the retail public or only to wholesale customers.

According to the site it seems like anyone can place an order with them. Plus if I did decide that it looks alright I prob wont have my car in 7 years. I dont tend to hold onto vehicle for a long time.

There's a big difference between 'Cheap' and 'Inexpensive'

I'm all for 'Inexpensive'
