well i get them cheaper locally, i was looking at a set of 18's with tires for $800 brand new.

Well any time you have something between the tire bead and rim there's chance of a leak. Paint and a steady hand may be a better way to go.

Seen them, or something very similar, on a 57 Chevy at a car show a few months back. They looked a little strange and could definately tell that they were not true WW tires, even at some distance.
