Who can make me a Grille????
Same goes here except I only need one. You get me a grille and I'll make it for you. Doing one now in the garage.

Here it is after the first primer coat. Needs some sanding yet, but you get the idea.

stick, what are the rest of your plans for that grill? I like the ones that are still chrome with the mesh backing. I just realized that you're from Pekin so we're not that far away. Perhaps if I get serious about doing this, I could pay you to make one for me. I'd love to see how yours turns out.
It is going to be painted to match my car. Tonight I filled in the bar holes left with a little fiberglass to see if that will fill in the holes. If your interested let me know, not sure about the chrome though.
I just finished mine this past weekend. I was able to keep the chrome looking good. It wasn't as difficult as i thought. If you are going to attempt it yourself, make sure you have a steady hand and plenty of time, Total time including making the lower valance grille was about 7 hours, but it was well worth it! Most of the white plastic behind the chrome was easy to grind away at an angle so you don't see it. On the parts that still show, i was able to use some chrome spray paint sprayed into a cup and dabbed with a Q-tip covered it up as to not be as noticeable. I considered painting it as an option but was glad to be able to keep the chrome. I really don't understand why they didn't design the stock grille this way. here are some pics of my before and after.

I am not sure I would be interested in making others, well the girlfriend wants one now too, maybe after hers and i have more practice i will take on others. I would be happy to help anyone out if they need it, also the SoCal HHRs website has a HOW TO. that gives you step by step instructions as well.
Good luck

Jack,
That looks VERY hawt! I would love the 3 bar with the mesh, I just don't have the time. I had a 98 Taurus I modded with gutter guard mesh.... started a trend in TCCA... If you are thinking of doing it for side money, I'd be willing to pay, as long as it's reasonable.

I just go regular chrome spray paint from the local auto parts store. i have used chrome spray paint before and it never looks chrome. however when i dabbed it on the spots where the white plastic was showing through it almost matched, (well a lot better than white) I wouldn't suggest trying to repaint the whole grille with chrome spray paint cause it will most likely turn out like crap.... but a little here and there helps out great!.
