Where do you get the clear ones?

ebay. you can get smoked or clear I think after they are shipped, they are like $35ish for a front set. So weird they don't make the rears though, just seems stupid. I wrapped all of mine in window tint to black them out.

do you have pics of how your markers look, with the window tint on them? Is the tint staying down or peeling up? Would you stay with the tint or use something like nightshades if you did it again? This is something I want to do but not sure if window tint is the way to go.

i responded in the other thread as well.

the tint is holding up perfectly, even on the rear ones where it is a screw hole in them, so i had to cut the hole out. I was worried about that, but it is holding up good.

I personally wouldn't go for nightshades, since it's isn't reversible, I don't have anywhere to do a good spry job, plus clear coating, and all that. I liked the ease of just wrapping them and being done with it. I did a dry wrap, since i seem to get better results like that. Cut it to size, stuck one side down just a bit (with overlap to do the edges) then used a combo of water and a drop of soap and a kitchen squeegee type mixer thing to slowly push the tint down the marker, until the entire top was covered, then i slowly pushed and spread the sides down. Being a complex shape, the side wrinkled a bit, but it's all hidden inside the car. For the rear i then took a super sharp exact and sliced the hole. No time at all, and holding up great.

Or paint them body color and just mask off the part the light actually shines through:

I tinted mine, same technique as twistrman, only I didn't wrap the edges, I cut them off where the front of the light starts to curve down. I used 20% tint film, and the red shines right through. Holding up great so far!

Hey, guys. I may try the tinting route as it can easily be removed. This will seem like a dumb question I'm sure, but what tint did you use and where did you find it? Thanks.

Nah, that's what these forums are for! I used the Black Magic brand I found at Pep Boys, mainly because it was the cheapest, at $10 for a pretty big roll. It worked great-
