2 sony 12" installed....

i found the converter i needed to convert the factory speakers wires into RCAs at walmart for 18.00...I got home took every apart....spliced into the rear door speakers only....i used the wire diagram from socalhhr and found the rear door speakers coming from the factory amp harness....i spliced into them and ran the new wires to the converter...then rcas from the converter to the amp...set the converter....it sounds nice now

only problem i ran into was where to run the remote wire....I have it directly ran to the battery now...to prevent future problems where should i run the remote wire?

the brown wire under the dash, would work or grab a fuse under the dash that turns off with the car.

Where's the amp? Looks good Lincoln. Glad you were able to make everything work. Keep us updated on that remote wire.

I've notice that you still have a lot of cargo space even with the box. Maybe prefab is the way to go

The amp is sitting in the space above the spare tire....im going to get some wood and mount the amp to the wood just incase it ever gets hot...dont want the plastic melting......Yeah the box i have is angled to where it sits even with the angle of the back seats.....Worked out really well....except the remote wire issue...i didnt want to run a wire all the way from the front to the back just to turn the amp on.......but i do love how clean the install looks with no amp visable.......and man does it pound inside

another thing....i cant belive there are no rattles....ive never done an install on a car and never had rattles....Chevy did good on this car

Not even the license plate? And dude, hook up that remote wire. Route the wire under trim and carpet and no one will see it.

Jaydogg has his Alpine V12 Amp in the same location. I haven't heard him mentioning anything about a possible meltdown. Jaydogg if you're out there, let us know what's up...

I have had no problems, it doesnt get much hotter back there than in a trunk, mike, socal, also has his under there and he lives in cali where it gets much hotter than it does here.

try putting 1095 watts rms to 2 12's and tell me that it doesnt rattle. i need dynomat bad.
