the work looks sweet you have done a nice job on the install, but i notice you have built some sort of mid-base boxes to fit under the dash could you give me a little more detail on how you did that as i also have built an HHR for SQ and haven"t figured out how to or where to mount my 8" shallow mount mid-base drivers where they won't be in the way.

I am using smaller subs downfire under the dash. There wont be enough room for an 8" sub under there. you have two choices. Choice one: there apart your dash and fabricate a box out of fiberglass and have it mounted somewhere-- if you can find the room
Choice two: make a new center console and try to put a sub in there.

Or a possible third choice, put two 8" subs, one in each front door and then make kick pods and put a 5 1/4 mids in the kicks and then a dash mount with a 3" mid and tweet.

The sub pods I made are about 5 inches deep, and an odd rectangular shape.

I am no way loaded. Its crazy expensive here too. I did not pay anywhere near retail price for any of my gear.

ok thanks subzero I think I'm going to go by my friends audio shop and see if he could make me some kick panels for the Kicker 8" mid-base drivers i have, seeing as i don't have a clue when it comes to fiberglass work. I'm great with wood but it takes quite a bit more room to do them out of wood.
Thanks, Milton
