add amps and EQ's to existing system
Thanks for the tip on the resistors probably have to do that , install just got put on hold got a call to go out of town for a job.
well worked on the system quite a while today didn't realize how much was left to do before I could tie into the factory amp. got it ready to finish the install tomorrow probably about 2 hours to tie it in, then probably an hours worth of setup time on the 3 sixty. Ya!!!!!!!!!!! then tune , tune , and tune some more. I think this trip to Florida is going to be sweet, time to drag out my CD's and enjoy music once again.

Well its back to the drawing board, got everything tied in today and the system is full of noise. hit the gas pedal there is noise, motor off noise, it is picking up everything that is run through the factory amp. going to rewire tomorrow and bypass the factory amp, and keep my fingers crossed that takes care of it. If it doesn't i'll either look for a stick of dynamite or maybe a new head unit, don't know yet. JUST REALLY FRUSTRATED RIGHT NOW, got to chill out and start fresh tomorrow.
(1) Power down first ... Pull fuse to 360 and pull rca,s . Start car and make sure amps are turned on ( jump the remote turn on ) . Listen for noise ... anything ??
(2) Amps on and zero noise ? Amps on and noise ?
(3) Amps on noise - amps making the problem ..
(4) Amps on no noise - great !!
(5) Unplug the input to the 360 and reinstall the fuse .
(6) Noise ? No noise ?
(7) No noise - great replace the head unit .
(8) Noise - 360 has an issue .
IMHO - I think the issue is the inputs going into the 360 . These should be directly from the head unit and the factory amp should not even be in the car at this point . It should be sitting on top of the tool box or on the floor of your garage .
Factory amp cannot be in this equation ..... if it is , that is your problem
I am off Sunday and will be more then willing to drive 25 miles to help you get your car ready to drive down to FLA ....
Check you PM,s , you should still have my number . If not you got it now ..
Greg
Hey wait one minute .... Lets us figure this out before you shoot the car ..

Thanks Greg: going to take the factory amp out of the equation tomorrow got fingers crossed that is the problem. Don't think the amps are the problem as i had both in my last build and had no problem. if takeing the amp out of the system does not work will be in touch to get the rca's from you and try that. I appreciate the concern from you, just got real frustrated when i got every thing tied in an all i had was noise. But on the topic we were talking about on the phone, when i tied into the amp I could not locate a data wire but the brown wire on the sub was smaller than the others? i'm thinking like you now that i have calmed down that all the chimes , phone link, are in the head unit not the amp. Thanks for the response it is good to know there are still people out there that care and are willing to help. I'll get a fresh start tomorrow and everything will be alright. ( THINK POSITIVE)
I will help you out , that is not a problem . It is very simple to trace the source of the noise ( the fac amp ) and eliminate it . We will get you going into sonic bliss .
You have my number and it was a pleasure speaking to you .
Greg
well all the hard work paid off the system is up and running, Ya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No noise, all channels working, the 3 sixty is configured, and I have a good starter tune in place. will work on the tune a little more tomorrow to finalize the starting point then listen to a few of my setup disks over time and start fine tuning. it already blows away the factory system and i am looking forward to going to a few competitions when I get it dialed in. So i guess that is going to end of this post will try to get some pics of the install posted but it might take me some time. Its been fun and thanks to all that helped out with advice.
