Well I just check on my order the RCA"s should be here Tuesday I think this build is going to be good as I tested the tweets and Stage is livable and seeing as I am using factory cross over points not bad but I had to just about turn the treble control off as they were way to bright, but MsBecky I still bow to your install it is coming along nicely.

Yours is also coming along at a faster pace then mine . Have you began to add some sort of sound dampening materials yet ?

Do you mean factory xo points from the Kicker tweeters or do you mean from the factory amp setup? I hope you mean from Kicker because the only one in the stock stereo is built into the factory tweeter and when you removed it you removed the xo.

Yes mine is coming along faster but it is not even close to the detail you are doing. Mine will be safe and secure but will not be a show piece like yours, (maybe one day)Yes I have already taken care of about 70 percent of the sound dampening, going to wait till I get back to work and build up my bank account before I do any more.

I have not installed the Kicker cross overs , I am going active with the 3sixty.3, but when I installed the Tweets I realized there was no cross over so I turned the treble all the way down and I am not using hardly any volume till I get the other components installed. Just cant stand no music at all, and hope I can get this all done by the weekend. But it's nice to see someone else has concern for the safety of my equipment, Thanks.

If you can't get the 3sixty3 in this weekend then pop into radio shack and pickup two 22mfd capacitors. This will give you a 6db 2.5k hz roughly xo point. If you want higher go with a 15 or 10 mfd. The 10 would be up around 4k. This will keep you safe for now and let you turn the volumn up a bit.

To be honest I usually deal with Street Toys here in Gainesville or Rose Auto Accessories in Blaresville, They both give me a good break cause I have been a competitor. But when I need to order online its usually Parts Express or Amazon. But I can always use a couple sources if you want to reveal yours.

It is also recommended to keep the cap in there once you go active to help protect the tweeters if anything goes wrong. I have not heard much talk about the 3sixty3 but several other processors have been found to occasionally send out high level screaching sounds thru the speakers. This has fried many tweeters. Then there is the off chance that the processor looses it's mind or that the tuner accidently turns off the xo or sets it too low. I have them in both my cars actually and in my HHR it has saved my tweeters from the schreach issue. That happened a few times in the first couple weeks of my system but has never reared it's ugly head for about 6 months now. Knock on wood.
