add amps and EQ's to existing system
update on tuning. just got through with some more tweaks system is really starting to come alive, tweaked the sub base and the mid base a little more and tweaked the time alignment finally got everything above the dash and the sub all the way up front. i'm going to listen to it for a week or so to determine where i need to adjust next. all in all i'm happy with the upgrade and would recommend it to any one thinking of doing one.
Here is what i used in mine but i'm a big Kicker Fan: Kicker 5 1/4 ss components up front Kicker 8" comp vr sub in the cars original box 1 Kicker 650x4 amp 1 kicker 550x3 amp and a Rockford Fosgate 3sixty.3 processor.
will post again later as I do more tweaks.

Well i got back to georgia sunday night, glad to be home again. I spent some time yesterday and today doing some more tweaks to the system WOW
this thing is really starting to come alive did a couple tweaks to the vocals and the bass guitar. I am almost at the point (i think) of putting this thing in a competition just to see if I can make it into the top 5 but before i do that I think i'll have a couple of friends listen to it and take some pointers. Well thats all for now i'll post more as i do more.

Greg
Ya Greg it was good to finally meet you too, and thanks for the tips, i made some adjustments when i got back and its even better now. I think i'm going to do a few more minor adjustments on the high's as they are just a little to bright, but other than that i think i'm done unless when you listen to it saturday you think it needs more. But as of now its better than the 94 astro i setup and i was always in the top five, and quite a few 2nd and 3rd place wins. But this time its different with my job i won't be able to commit to doing the whole season so i will attend the ones i can, compete with friends, and have fun listening to some sweet sounds while on road trips to my next job or on the way home from one.

Update on the project, I have had some friends listen to the system and I am very close just a few more minor tweaks and i'll be done. But after saying that heres the bad news, I am going to have to send the 3 Sixty.3 back for repair or replacement as it will not hold the cross over settings that i put in. The really bad news is it's going to take 3 to 4 weeks to get it back, (NO TUNES FOR WEEKS)
but at least it will be right when i get it back, and as I have saved all my settings to a file all i have to do after reinstall is write it back to the unit. OH wait i just remembered i have a Memphis 6 channel LOC, i can install while i wait for the unit to come back at least i'll have sound.
Greg if you read this before saturday don't worry I'm not going to return it till Monday as I would really like to get the final tune saved before i return it. That way if i am called out of town again before it comes back my better half can ship it to me and all i have to do is set cross overs.

Forgot to say that Greg will be coming over Saturday and we will be getting pictures of both cars, we'll try to get them posted on the forum. Gregs install is awesome, mine is good but not a showpiece, but we can post the pictures just to give someone who might be thinking of an upgrade some ideas.

More updates:
Had to send the 3 sixty.3 back for replacement was without sound for 4 weeks. Got the new one back and started over as now i can set crossover points and slope first time through setup the auto normalize worked very well system sounds good but not much volume. talked to the tech at Rockford and after explaining what i did during setup he suggested doing setup again and this time skip the auto range and go to auto normalize. I didn't auto range the inputs on the first unit and i had plenty of volume so i will try this, then its on to time alignment. I have read a few posts on how to do this by ear and they recommend using pink noise with no x/o setting, start with the sub and right front speaker sub set at zero and adjust the alignment on the right front till they align then right front and left front the same way, then left front and right tweeter and so on with the rest of the speakers then set x/o's and play a music track. Has anyone tried this and if so how does it work out, i would appreciate any feed back that anyone has on this, in the mean time I'm going to give it a shot and if it works i will try to put up a link to the post for all to read. All in all it is going very well this time if i can get this time alignment right.
