I would urge everyone to re-read this thread from an outsider's point of view - not your own. Hundreds of lurkers are on this forum weekly - reading and never posting. Many are considering whether they should make this place their home......or not.

I have been watching the numbers dwindle on this site for weeks now, and have a feeling many lurkers are deciding they just don't want to hang in a place with problems and attitudes (as our site has had many in the past couple of weeks).

Joking with friends is one thing, but it is important to really think about your reply to a newbie before posting, as you could ultimately be driving away more than just one member....

And I would urge you to stop lecturing and re-read yourself. Read his first reply to the wiper suggestion (which btw, he was just fine with later). The guy was looking for trouble and that's it.

You've been watching numbers dwindle because it's the end of summer. People are getting the last of the vacations over and done with, shipping kids off to school, etc. It will be like this EVERY year. I've been a member of forums of various topics for years and it happens every year. Let's not even take some sniper shots here. The only "problems and attitudes" that I have seen as the cheapskate around here have been brought up without any backing on the "public" side of the forum. If there have been these issues they have been among the paid membership and therefore us cheapskates and lurkers haven't seen a damn thing that would drive us away. That is until we get blindsided by posts of "problems and attitudes" and warnings to all trolls.

But, let's get back on the track of the this thread. He wanted suggestions, derided everyone who provided those suggestions and then took his ball and went home. The thread has outlived it's usefulness now. I smell a lock.

the guy asks for help, he gets an answer he didnt want, he gets rude to the member trying to help him out. We dont need that kind of person in this forum.

Lurkers will be lurkers. If they havent signed up now then they will never sign up.

BTW, I agree with your post as well JOKER!

I hope the information provided was enough for that member to get the info that was requested. And, I hope it helps other members and guests who might be seaking the same advice, find what little help was provided of some assistance to them.
I agree, a lock is in order as this thread has gone off topic.
