Thanks jaydogg...I think that's what I might just do. I'll start shopping for a radio/head unit to begin with. That sounds like the most complicated part of all of this is getting the harness and having the radio installed. Then getting something in the speaker hole in the rear cargo area if I want sound to come from the rear of the car. Maybe once the radio unit has been replaced and I'll have enough to please me. As my boyfriend is saying to me today...the radio doesn't have any "balls" and if you replace that, you'll probably be fine. Does that sum things up pretty much?

yep, that would do it, and it is real easy to do. I understand that you want to wait for the harness but it can be done with no problems without it. if you find a headunit that you like just let us know which one it is and we will try to help you out there with that. some of them come sat ready which will work with xm or sirius, ipod ready is a good thing, and of course MP3's

I'm one of those who don't know squat about car audio anymore.

Gotta few questions.......
  1. I like the features of the stock stereo, the premium Pioneer, can something be done to increase its output?
  2. Can a 10" sub like the Infinity basslink jaydogg mentioned be placed in the 8" stock location without doing any cutting?
  3. Am I too short for what I weigh or am I supposed to have my own gravitational field?

1. the only thing you can do minus adding an amp would be to turn it up more.
2. i think that it might fit back there but you would have to get the measurement of the stock sub box to see.
3. IDK
