Big 3/4 worth it?

Is the big 3/4 even needed with a stock alternator when the batteries are 3' from the amplifiers?

Upgrading or adding ground and power wires to 1/0 or 2/0 copper

That would depend on the current draw. You need to match the wire to the maximum amps expected.
GoOgle "wire size calculator" then choose one.
