Can the speed sensitive volume on the radio be turned off?
Hi all.
I did a quick search, and did not find an answer to this question, and the owner's manual makes no mention of it at all.
At first I was okay with this feature, and then I was tolerant of it.....now I am hating it....lol
I don't like how the volume goes down on a slow corner. I want to have a cranked song cranked!!!...
Can this feature be shut off on the radio or in the DIC?
Thanks.

From the 2007 Owners Manual........
volume compensation at faster vehicle speeds.
Speed Compensated Volume (SCV):
The radio
has Speed Compensated Volume (SCV). While
SCV is on, the radio volume automatically adjusts
to compensate for road and wind noise as your
speed changes while driving. That way, the volume
level should sound about the same as you
drive. To activate SCV:
1. Set the radio volume to the desired level.
2. Press the MENU button to display the radio
setup menu.
3. Press the pushbutton under the AUTO VOLUM
(automatic volume) label on the radio display.
4. Press the pushbutton under the desired Speed
Compensated Volume setting (OFF, Low,
Med (medium), or High) to select the level of
radio volume compensation. The display
times out after approximately 10 seconds.
Each higher setting allows for more radio

I must have the cheap owner's manual, because this information is not in mine. No where in the radio section, nor can i find it elsewhere....
Also, the radio does not get louder with faster speeds....I set to a listening level while driving, and when I come to a stop or crawl, it goes down, returning to where I set it when back up to speed....
Kind of the reverse of what your info says....Weird.
I will give it a try and see though.
Thanks

Ok. That took like two seconds.
It was set to high. No wonder I went down to a whisper at every stop sign.
I changed it to low, and if that is not good enough, will turn it off.
Thanks again for the help Snoop, Sky and Markey.
