can you disable auto door lock when putting car in drive?

I have checked the DIC and there are several door lock options in there but they do not appear to be related to the auto lock when putting car in drive and unlocking when putting in park?
any help would be appreciated.
2006 LT
thank you

I know you could change the settings on 2006's.

Mine are sett to only unlock the driver's door and to lock when put into gear.

From the owners manual:

AUTO UNLK (Unlock)
This feature, which allows the vehicle to automatically unlock certain doors, can be enabled or disabled. When AUTO UNLK appears on the display, press the reset button to scroll through the available settings: ALL (default): All of the doors will automatically unlock. DRIVER: The driver’s door will automatically unlock. NONE: None of the doors will automatically unlock. You will need to manually unlock the doors. If you have a manual transaxle vehicle, the door(s) will automatically unlock when the key is turned off. If you have an automatic transaxle vehicle, you can
select when the automatic unlocking will occur. See “UNLK (Unlock) (Automatic Transaxle Only)”
following. See Programmable Automatic Door Unlock on page 2-11 for more information. Choose one of the available settings and press the information button to select it and move on to the
next feature.

UNLK (Unlock) (Automatic Transaxle Only)
This screen displays only if your vehicle has an automatic transaxle and DRIVER or ALL is selected for the AUTO UNLK feature. This feature determines when the automatic door unlocking will occur. When UNLK appears on the display, press the reset button to scroll through the available settings:
KEY OFF: The door(s) will unlock when the key is turned off. SHIFT TO P (Park) (default): The door(s) will unlock when the vehicle is shifted into PARK (P). See Programmable Automatic Door Unlock on page 2-11 for more information. Choose one of the available settings and press the information button to select it and move on to the next feature.

From your other Post I see what you are attempting.
https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/audio-video-17/does-anyone-know-where-door-lock-relay-located-24600/

To do what you want to do you are going to have to "design" some sort of logic to roll up the windows when the doors lock only when you are getting out of the vehicle. This will have to be based upon some other function(s) of the vehicle. I have been working on this also and have shelved it for the time being as I am working on other projects, but suffice it to say your endeavor is not as straightforward as you would like to think.

I will be interested to see what you end up with. When I last looked at it I was going to use a micro controller, as it was the easiest way and to tap into one of the vehicle's CAN buses. An array of relays will work, but just so old school.

If you wanted to put in an actual Vehicle Alarm system it would be so much easier. I did not.
