canceled xm still works

Canceled xm radio a few months ago.. No,biggie. I unhooked the battery a few days ago to do some work. All of a sudden xm works again. I called xm to verify that the subscription was canceled, which it is. But xm still works, anyone know why? By resetting, does it think it is back into the three month free period?

XM has a spring special here in Ontario where you can receive it free for two weeks from May 22 to June 4.
Maybe the offer is available in your area also.

That is correct in the states also. 60 free channels during the promotion.

Well, cool... The foreign guy on the phone didn't tell me this. Good campaign, I'm thinking of reordering.... Damit

When dealing with XM I just automatically "escalate" the call by asking for a supervisor, that almost always gets you transferred to someone here in the U.S.

Once you've got a supervisor, then ask for any unadvertised specials, seems like I always find an "extra" when I ask.

I hate XM. I'm still under my 3 month trial and I flip it over maybe once every few days when there's nothing playing on FM. I had Sirius back in my Magnum before XM and Sirius merged and I loved it, but the quality seems very poor now. It may just be me...lol

Depends on your musical tastes I guess.

I listen to XM for the comedy/news/old time radio shows/NPR, not for musical programming.

When I'm in the mood for tunes its either our fantastic local classic rock station, or the i-Pod.

This is me. I listened to a lot of comedy before when I had Sirius...don't do talk radio. We have pretty decent stations here in Atlanta so there's usually something to listen to.

I like it for music sometimes. My usual is Sports Talk. Lately, here in Detroit, there isn't much to listen to. The Tigers are in a bad way, and the Lions are still a ways from being newsworthy, expect for the drug citations. So music without commercials is good for now.

I have close to a 2 hour drive home most days, and 2 hours of people going on about millionaires who choke when they are needed to do what they are paid for gets old...

I was going to say.. be careful. this happened to me, and I just ignored it... eventually received a bill... called and complained - they said it was okay. They I received a letter saying they would take me to collections if I didn't pay.

One more phone call fixed it... They are weasels.
