Do I have xm radio and I just don't know it

2008 hhr 1lt

Do I have xm radio and I just don't know it?

I have the radio with the ''cat button.'' When you press the button it says "XM Feature".
I have two antennas one in front one small in back of car.
I have on star.
rpo codes UE1 US8

There is a module in the right rear quarter panel and the antenna is plug into it, I think this is the module for on star. Is this module do both xm radio and on star? Or do I need to buy a different module or and more modules? Just got this car.

I'm not sure but wanted to give you a little bump. I know that when I bought my 2006, the radio was playing an xm preview. Then I received three months free from xml as a trial. I LOVE xm radio!!!

If you select the xm feature do you get an xm preview program? From your description it sounds like you have the necessary equipment in your HHR. It has been quite a while since I went through this but if I remember correctly a preview(an xm advertisement) comes up and then you tune to channel #1 and get your radio # and then call xm and have your service turned on after you make a payment to them. Then it takes a few minutes for you to start receiving xm. When I first turned my xm on I had a little trouble receiving it and called xm and the operator re-sent the signal to turn my radio on and I was up and running while we were talking on the phone. If I have missed anything or mis-remembered perhaps someone will chime in with a little help but I think that is the procedure I followed. Good luck.

From my 5 second research, if you have an XM Radio you will have RPO code U2K in the list.

Good luck

And if you have the RPO code U2J (certain years ?) it means "not installed".
