Factory GPS

Does any one know if it is possible to put a Factory GM GPS Head Stereo Unit from an other GM Vehicle? Like from a Tahoe or Vette?

Possible yes, but Im betting its a heck of alot cheaper and easier to put in an aftermarket unit.

I was thinking maybe a Factory Gm nav. radio might work a little easyier or better with the onstar/bluetooth. I see that after-market ones have their own Bluetooth on them.

It may be possible as we put GM nav units in our Chevy SSRs. It was never offerd as an option. The other problem is getting the GM tech II scanner to link the new radio to the HHR that was never there (in the menu) we had this problem with the SSR but figured it out.
We need someone to take the plundge (spend the money) to figure it out. It could get costly if the guess work is wrong.....
