Once you have the bass turned up all the way with the EQ in the head unit, that's all you've got. Quite a few have gone with separate subwoofers in add on enclosures for the added oomph.

On mine, I raised the bass 4 notches and faded to the rear 3 notches. I left the treble in the middle and raised the mid 1 notch. The tweeters on the doors work well enough to offset the treble in my opinion.
Im a hip hop junkie and that works best for me.

I just went ahead and put four 12's in the back of mine, I think I got plenty of bass now ;-)

My 2010 LT1 does not have the factory sub. If i were to snag a factory sub with amp from a salvage yard, is this a simple bolt-in mod? (I have seen the how-to that shows how to access it.) Is the harness already there? I don't want thumpy-thumpy blow-yer-windows-out bass, but just a little more oomph at the low end.

Also, does the PAL harness work with a factory front-end with the USB port on the front? I want to stealth my iPods and this seems to be the best way to do it.

Thanks!
