All the old cars had fans mounted on the dash. I got this one on sale at Stauss. It is made to mount on the vent, but I did not want to scratch the paint, plus I knew that the weight of it would pull the vent down. So I made a bracket to fit in one of the 2 holders I have for my cell phone. Next, I removed the cigarette lighter plug and soldered on a type M connection that fits in the sockets I have on the dash (I also put one ot them on the roof panal for connecting my radar detector). I hate having long wires draped all over the place.

I only wish the fan was chrome like in the 40's and 50's. Perhaps I will paint the housing silver in the future.
