Check your build tag for option U2K, if its on the tag you might have a technical issue, or the former owner removed the XM module for some unknown reason.

 

I guess since I’m fresh out of antenna in the back I do not have XM after all.

I have the antenna, but no U2K code..

 

Downloaded free Pandora app on my Blackberry and plugged it into the aux port... Problem solved... Commercial free internet radio tailored to my likes... Sirius is starting to become old school... And no receiver to buy either if you already have a smartphone anyway...

I have been able to get the XM preview and I have the antenna so HOPEFULLY when I leave work in a few hours I will be enjoying XM along with my new sub

 

I have the u2k on my 07 I have an antenae in the front none in the back I always thought the back antennae was for for onstar?

I am pretty positive I have an xm radio seeing how I have several buttons that where saved on the radio from previous owner xm1 xm14 etc.
When I press xm1 it is a preview and they talk about the channels
I believe I pressed the menu button yesterday it showed the auto volume button and also had a button next to it saying xm catalog . (My coworkers car said xm at one point but did not show that option).when I pressed that it said.car.must be stopped
Hopefully this morning it will work on the free preview.
I agree though I used Pandora for about a.year.and just.started using slacker radio

Huh strange.. Apparently they give you a 6disc changer in the Shadow Edition, and no XM option.

 

My free xm service is up and running no antennae in the back just an antennae in the front

 

My XM is up and working unfortuneately I can not find any station that I actually want to listen to so I will not be suscribing to it.

 

After listening for the past 2 weeks, I find that every overpass, any size cloud, and every tree too close to the edge of the road is making me lose signal. That and I only listen to 3 or 4 of its channels doesn't justify shelling out extra money for the service. My very first XM unit I had years ago did better than the ones I have had since then. I could be in places with absolutely no view of the sky and still got good quality signal.
