I finally have my stereo installed, just not finished, in my HHR. It includes a Sony cdx-gt705dx HU, Exile car audio XP65 6 1/2" components in the doors, a Soundstream D'artagnan 6 channel 1000 watt amp, and 2 Audioworks prototype 12" subwoofers. The top of the sub box is covered in black formica, and the first trim panel will be covered in interior matching gray vinyl. The top trim panel will be two parts. The first layer will be another panel matching the bottom and it will have a pegboard top layer. Both top panels will be covered in a dark gray non backed carpet.

Looks good, like the color of the HHR.

 

So are you going with carpet or fiberglass, or even a hidden install?

 

The top of the box is black formica. The first trim panel will be covered in gray vinyl, matching the interior. Then there will be a top panel that will have a pegboard top and covered with a non backed carpet. When all the covers are in place you wont be able to see the install.

 

good equipment and very well thought out.

 

I just wish I could get over this blasted flu bug so I can go out an tune it. My head is so congested I cant hear a thing. It sucks.
