Sorry, was so excited about seeing that it may work that I didn't take pics along the way.

Actually, I have to put in my Kenwood 902 Sirius tuner later this evening, so maybe I'll take a few snaps then when I tear it apart to get behind the radio again. It's not really that exciting though.. Just some soldered wires covered in black electrical tape.

Thanks for your recommendation, or was that a command? I think I'll go with recommendation. The thing is, insulation = insulation = insulation. I could have used duct tape or hot glue and it wouldn't have mattered one bit as long as the bare copper isn't exposed. Thanks for your opinion though. Perhaps next time you should think about your phrasing. Something along these lines would work: "Personally, I would have used heat shrink tubing instead of the electrical tape for a somewhat cleaner look." Now, see with that simple sentence you express your opinion, and why you would go that way. That adds value to the topic unlike your original post.

Agree I just took it as an idea. Even made mental note to self.

But like HHR PNOY said to each his own, no harm no foul (unlike the Kobe clothsline) Sorry Ng I knew you would check out the thread so I had to take a jab

Clearly, it was a recommendation, but a recommendation without reasoning is near worthless honestly. It's like saying "use nuclear for power". Umm.. ok.. But why when solar or water will work and isn't as overkill. Of course it's been a long day dealing with stupid government clients and perhaps I'm a bit touchy.
