These Black fabrics have a tendency to Fade alot, or they used to at least.

Did you cut a seam for the passenger airbag?

How long has that been on?

I was thinking of doing real Black Leather on my dash.

Gotta Soften up that ALL Plastic interior GM chooses to use.

 

I don't even clean mine, I only use it for glue but whenever it clogs up i just clean it and good to go. :)

 

I didn't cut a seam for the bag. Probably should have, might still do it, but currently I just have the bag disconnected lol.

I think it will fade. I have 5% tint down my whole windshield though, so sun isn't an issue for me :)

My side glass was Tinted on my Panel when I bought it already, it's pretty dark not sure what it is % wise. Nothing on my windsheild, it had a tinted strip across the top, but I removed it.

Was in my line of sight and was just Annoying. Had to either raise or lower my head to see under it or through it. Maybe I will see about doing the whole thing.

 

they make light tint that will block the uv rays, not sure if that will help with fading. at least its something thats not that noticeable from the outside thatll get you a ticket. idk how strict cops are in your area. mine aren't very strict with tint, every so often i get popped though, but i probably have the darkest tint in the entire city lol

 

IL. eased up a touch and allowed some tinting on the front side windows, but the cops like to use any excuse to pull you over.

I pulled out into traffic in a lane that I knew ended with a Merge, (I know the area well I grew up there) and I floored it and did my quick merge, turned out it was infront of a cop in a Chevy Suburban unmarked.

He tried to accuse me of cutting him off and tried to tell me where I had pulled out from. He was Totally WRONG, and I insisted that were he said I was, that I was NOT. I pulled out of a Parking Lot, he insisted I raced through the intersection Before the parking lot, I kept telling him he was Wrong and kept to MY version of the story, he wanted me to tell him His version.

Screw that. So he ended up writing me a ticket for my black fuzzy dice hanging from my rearview mirror.

Then says, OK we are now Off the Record, Where did you come from?

I again told him the exact Truth of pulling out from the Parking Lot he so Insisted I did Not come from.

He was just mad I pulled out and merged in Front of him, I really did Nothing wrong at all, I sped up and merged and it ticked him off is all.

He could not get me to change my story so he could write me some Bogus ticket so he said he could not just let me go for "cutting him off" that was true BS on his part.

So he asked about my tint, I said recent IL. Law has Changed and these were installed by the Chevy Dealer I bought the car from and I'd Fight a ticket on it in court.
So he kept looking around and said you can't have stuff hanging from your mirror, it blocks your view. So he wrote me that Ticket. Not a moving violation just a Money Maker ($25.00) for the village.

Not sure what IL. law is on tinting the whole windshield.

 

well i know the law, no states allow full tinted windshields lol.

i still do it though.
