How to replace Tweeters in my 08 SS?

Has anyone replaced the tweeters in the A pilar of the HHR?

I am looking at a set of speakers from Polk and wondered how hard it is to put the Polk Tweeters in the Factory Location?

I have the RF in mine. Just pull the pillars off and unplug the tweeters. They come unclipped from the plactic pillar and then you just have to cut the grille out to the size of your new tweeters. Use a sharp knife and be carefull. Make sure you have a way to mount your new tweeters as well before cutting and messing up you pillars.

These have a mounting ring behind the pillare panel that holds them in place and about five feet of wiring to run to your crossover. They don't quite follow the curve of the panel, but you'll never notice and probably never find ones that do anyway.

I mounted my exile tweeters behind the panel. You just have to be creative how to hold them in. We used zip ties screwed across the back of the tweeters like a strap. It worked.
