I want to install a new HU/Radio in my HHR

Hey y'all, I am planning on adding a new head unit to my HHR soon and have some questions. I'll start of with naming my car's specs just for reference.
  • 2006 HHR LT
  • Premium Pioneer Sound System
  • Stock Radio/HU
  • I used this guide to put an old 4ch amp and a 10in subwoofer in the back. I believe this is called preamp wiring??
  • No OnStar

I would like to replace my stock radio with a basic single or double din aftermarket. Problem is I want to keep all of my vehicle chimes, steering wheel controls, and especially my pioneer sound system and added on amp and sub. I have seen various similar questions here and know to use crutchfield but I don't want to make any mistakes.

Would a 'PAC C2R-GM11' be able to keep my chimes and pioneer sound system working with a new aftermarket HU? And would a 'PAC SWI-CP5' really keep my steering wheel controls?

Sorry for such the long post, thank you all so much!

A.) the Pioneer unit is not stock, it's an optional upgrade.
B.) I think you will find the HU in integral to the radio, not sure about the Pioneer
C.) there is lots of info on installing after-market radios in this section of the forum
