Hey guys,

I am thinking about buying a factory sub unit with amp that came from an HHR for parts. My question is how hard would it be to install that into my 07 that did not have a sub. Will the factory head unit support it?

Also, could I take it into any audio installation place and have them do it? I don't feel like tearing up the inside if it's going to be a lot of work.

if it didn't come with your car the wiring harmess doesn't support it, so will have to be done as an aftermarket install i believe

I appreciate the reply but you didn't really answer any of my questions. I know aftermarket install is the way I will go but am I going to need a new head unit? You said I'll need a different wiring harness, so is that something most audio places have on hand? I really have no experience with audio installation so please be a little more thorough with the answers.
