Lost bass and mid-range on stereo

I guess my radio is going south. The mid-rand and bass all of a sudden are not working when I started my 2009LS today. The entire sound system is factory stock with the round jack on the front. It does have XM. It worked fine last time the vehicle ran, which was 2 or 3 days ago. I tried adjusting mid-range and bass but the adjustment has no effect. I thought turning the treble all the way down would make all the sound go away since I seemed to have no bass or mids but when I turned the treble all the way down it acted like a volume control except it would not turn the treble all the way down(off). It goes down to about 10% volume. Any ideas other than buying a new radio?

Do you all think all four speakers would go out at the same time? Does that really seem likely?

Ours is not to reason why, but they do quit frequently in pairs sometimes in quadruple.

... and they are like headlights where some think their headlights aren't working, when actually the 2nd one burnt out, and they didn't realise that the first one had burnt out previously.

You can test the speakers using a bunch of different methods - just do a search for "test car speaker" to verify if the problem is the speakers or not. It's a pretty easy job.

Not in my book.
Try balance left and right/front to back and see if you or a friend hears a difference.

Can you show proof of this statement where all 4 can fail ?
As in bad speakers.
