Mounting a cb radio

Hey guys I have a 2011 LT. It's my main driver when I do road trips. I have a Cobra 19 III I want to install in it but as you know there islittle to no space to do so. I am thinking of mounting the bracket to the roof above the rear view with self tapping screws but I'm not sure if it is double wall construction or just single. Does anyone know and if so, have you ever mounted a cb to the roof and what length screws did you use?

Thanks so much any help will be greatly appreciated.

John

Assembled Product Dimensions (L x W x H) 7.00 x 4.50 x 1.75 Inches

Seems like it would fit in the glove box.

Under the seat, on the passenger side of the console, dash storage box, the glove box door, get a single DIN replacement radio and mount them both in the double DIN space, in the driver door map pocket. the dash compartment lid. on the passenger seat back (fold the seat down)

On my long trips I carry a hand held Cobra CB. It has batterys or 12 volt plug in. Rubber flexible antenna or plug for external antenna. I gets out and receives good as a stock radio and cost about $100.

I've thought about one of those. May end up with one. Ijust had this little Cobra radio and magnetic antenna lying around as an extra outfit (I have a 40 ch Midland with a 4 ft antenna in my F150) so I figured I'd use the Cobra IF I could. Imay end up with a hand held. My cousin has one and he likes it a lot.

I've got every space crammed full....lol. I tookthe factory radio out and put in a single din Pioneer. Coulkd have used the storage space in it but Iput the factory radio back because all of my audio (ie; chimes, emergency alerts etc.) worked through the factory radio.

That can be fixed with a GMOS-LAN-3 module.
