My new build

Well tore out my wall, it was eating my car alive. So decided to put together a nice system that I can actually enjoy. This build will take a while as I'm doing it over the winter months in good ol' Iowa. Don't expect too much, been working 70 hours a week lately and this is my first day off in a while.

Here is a pic of the old turd.

The 8's are for Midbass and lower mid-range.
2.5's are for Upper midrange.
Tweets for high's.
And the 4 is for my center channel.
These are all Vifa drivers.

Here is my other toy that I bought. :)

Oh and you can send the MS-8 my way, i'll use it.

Hopefully you'll get some interior space back on this install. Post up pics as you go along.

Ha I'll try to. I get too many ideas and want to try so much different stuff. I've pry had about 20-30 different systems in the 3 years. But you can't have my MS-8, I've been wanting one for a couple years now and finally just broke down and bought it last month. But I will be posting a build log as I go a long with the build. I'm just running wire this weekend so nothing too fancy.

(Ignore the 4500, selling it.)
Still need to buy all the stuff for the sub stage and then it should all go smoothly from there. Stay tuned!

Haven't done much. Well lately, work picked and being a installer.. during the busy season, the last thing you want to do, is touch your own car.. -_-

Had to change some things up.

Ended up dropping the 2.5" drivers and stepping up to the 4" drivers and I'm glad that I did. I love them.

Over the winter I did "plasti-dipped my grill and did a gloss black on the bow-tie

Here's the fun part. I had my first run around with fiberglass, well molding my own shape and stuff. It turned out interesting. Not very pleased with my work but I haven't put much time into them to completely judge them.

Also got the T-Line out of storage to refinish since I got tired of staring at it all scraped up.

Transmission line cabinets take above average to skills to build . Onto the glass work, I am not a big fan of the smell . I do not mind working with glass if I have a respirator. As with you , it is busy season for us. My time is at a premium from now until December . Hybrid Audio opens its doors for retail and install on the 15th of July . We are bringing our HHR there to fabricate our door install . You being an installer comes into mind the shoe maker . Everybody had new shoes but him and his family . After working in a bay all day , it is hard pressed to work on your own gear.....
Your wiring is very neat and secured with in Iasca rules. As should all installs .
I do not want to hijack your thread , but I have some pics of my CRX with some really nice glass work completed in 2003 .
Get it finished

I may be only 23 but been building since 14. Woodworking runs in the family although I'm no near as good as my dad was in his prime. But I love fiberglass smell, although I can only take so much of it. The stuff I use is pretty low odor and doing it in huge ventilated areas (outside) that helps a lot . But I build police cars from the ground up, so not your average installer haha I would post up some pics of my work but if they found out I get fired.. -_-
