Newbie question...2006 LT wiring harness???

Hello everyone. My first post here.

I'm in the process of becoming an HHR owner and I'm considering purchasing an '06 LT. It does *NOT* have a subwoofer. Also considering buying a new radio for it so I can get bluetooth functionality for my phone.

Question is, will there be a wiring harness there for a subwoofer or will I need to look for one? I did some reading at Crutchfield and found a thread where someone said they didn't have a wiring harness for a sub, but it was an LS.

So, wanting to know what I may be getting into.

thanks.

Welcome to the site, my LS has the Pioneer system so it has the harness, the 6 speaker system you would have to ad a sub and amp, along with the wiring harness.

That's interesting...then GM was inconsistent...know someone online who is adding fog lamps and the wiring is in place for them even though the lamps were not installed at the factory. Pre-installed harness for lamps, but not sub?

thanks!

Perhaps an LS owner without the Poineer system can chime in and confirm if the harness is there or not.

A LT or 2LT is likely to have wiring for options. Cars that were built eligible for factory installed option packages might have the wiring installed, that varies by year.
