OEM Satellite Antenna
Does anyone know the GM part # for the stock HHR XM antenna? I want to look up the price. Phase III of my Sirius install will be installing the stock antenna for a permanent antenna install.
I'm also considering the OEM Honda antenna. They are color coded and have a lower profile.

There isn't a separate part number, or at least a part number that GM will let anyone know about. You may want to look at this antenna though:

It's an inside the cabin, windshield mount antenna from Sigma.

The angle of the windshield shouldn't be an issue. It's about as extreme as the Infinity in that pic. As for visibility, it would have to go to the side of the wiring strip if you have the auto-dim mirror and would sit above the mirror. If you placed it toward the driver side of the mirror, it should sit within the area that is shrouded with the neat little dots (anyone know the reason for these??) and shouldn't cut down on visibility at all. I've actually been thinking about using this antenna, but not sure the wife would go for the pricetag

My rear view has the compass wiring where Nissan shows it installed. I'll take a loook at my HHR later. I would have to put it next to the wiring on the passengers side. I don't need less windshield visibility. A tint strip would be in order to conceal the antenna. Proper research needs to be done before I can justify the $80 price tag.

Well, I finally did get a part number for the GM antenna. Even from gmpartsdirect.com it's 98 bucks (198 MSRP from dealer) It's part number 15205583 in case you want to search around. Personally, I'd chance it with the SIGMA before going the GM route, but that's just me.
