I like the setup. I was brainstorming something similar but gave up when I couldn't find room to install 2 amps flush with the false floor. The sub takes up too much room and the amp won't fit flush.

If interested, check out the JL Audio website. When I was doing my research I found a setup similar to yours and they used protective bars for their subs. Protected the sub and still looked good. Some vinyl that matches the interior would look really good to cover up the MDF.

Did you build a box underneath or did you just the mount the sub in the panel and drop it in?

actually the top is covered with tweed to match the interior and i dont think i like the idea of a grill or bars not much ends up back there so i dont think i need to protect it the whole set up might change soon any way its not loud enough with the amp i have and the sub it should be louder 900 watts to 1 12 should really rock your head so a new design is probably coming
