power supply polarity

Does anyone know the polarity + or - of the HHR's power supply system? I need to know this so I can set the switch correctly on my dvd player.

do you mean do we have a negative or positive ground? if so its a negative ground.

here's what it says in the instructions, 'slide this switch fully to the correct polarity of your cars power supply system.'

I think its talking about the trigger for the dome light. I haven't played with it, maybe some else can answer this now.
