Powered Sub install
Powered Sub install
Hey everyone,
I'm looking to install a powered subwoofer in my 09 LT with the Pioneer system. I want to keep the stock head unit, so how should I go about connecting up the subwoofer. Is it possible to tap into the line to the stock sub, or do I have to go through the head unit. Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You

The audio end of the HHR is not my expertise, but a quick search using the search tool at the top of the page gave a few links that I think will help:

Thanks for the tip. Ive been looking at a 2000 watt combo, but it would destroy my battery, so I'm leaning toward the JBL GT-BassPro12 with only 400 peak on a single 12". 2 12's might have been a bit excessive.
2 12s with that much power will over power all your other sound, all you would hear is bass, 1 12 with a couple hundred watts should be plenty unless you just love excessive bass LOL
