Premium Stereo question

Just wondering-does the factory head unit have an amp, or is all the power from the amp in the back next to the subwoofer? Then it would have to be a 5 channel amp,and a small one at that.

Cool

Capt??? Where are you???

He did a great sub replace. In a photo he did there was an amp I believe in the back panel.
He replaced it all.

His looks great! I'm sure he'll see this and link you.

I think the amp in back drives all of the speakers but I am not 100% sure. I only tested the lines at the speakers not before the amp.

I'm with Capt. I 'm not 100% sure about the amp in the back. I do know that I unpluged one of the plugs and lost sound to the speakers in the front though. That makes me belive that it is the one.

Here are the schematics for the Radio and speaker system. (Courtesy of monster5601)

But, to answer your question, YES, the amp in the rear powers all the speakers.
